Dr. William Gilmer is a compassionate neurologist treating patients in Houston's Museum District near Hermann Park. His goal is to listen carefully, understand his patients’ problem, then treat conservatively and effectively. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry a Neurology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Gilmer attended Baylor College of Medicine, where he completed his medical degree, internship, and a residency in Neurology. He completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Methodist Hospital. He serves on the boards of Greater Houston Health Connect and The Health Museum. He has served as president of The Harris County Medical Society, Texas Neurological Society, and Harris County Neurological Society. He has been elected to office in the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and American Academy of Neurology.
Patients visiting Dr. Gilmer receive a full range of care including consultation, trigger-point injections for painful neck, back and head pain, Botox for migraine, EMG and EEG. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Gilmer enjoys traveling, wine, and cooking!
